Studies have shown that when people focus on some of the world's victims and they think about them in an altruistic way it fires up a thing called the vagus nerve. The more that is activated, the more it has great positive effects on our immune system. And so one can see why that would create better happiness,. healthier body, all kinds of good things would happen.
