Is Bias Good in Data Science?
"I just bring sadness and dreary weather everywhere I go," he says. "This is a science program. You hear it here first." He was in New York to give a talk at ODSC West about bias, the connotation of weights and biases that are often overused in data science. In reality, there's no such thing as 'bias' or 'biased,' but you could describe y-intercept offset in a simple regression model as the bias.
