How to Come Up With Your Own Metaphors

A lot of the metaphors we use, we learn from our teachers and it's not like it's wrong to use other people's metaphors. But challenge yourself to come up with your own metaphors. And in the beginning, I think that this process will feel a little bit clunky. You will have tons of, you know, voices in your head that tell you, oh, you're not as good as those other people. Your ideas are going to be lame. That is totally normal. There are people who will benefit massively even more from hearing things the way you said it because they resonate better with you.
