I sometimes wonder about this in social science because for example, there was this whole field of social priming. Now there's just kind of disastrous rate of replication where almost all or maybe even all of these findings that people have time to replicate have failed. So it's sort of not critiquing sort of the core of what's going on. It's sort of you're allowed to create heek some side issue that doesn't threaten anyone too much and something like that.
