I think having some sort of savings can be very helpful. But for me, I would rather pay down the things with the highest amount of interest and get it away. And then I'll be able to bank that money that I'm no longer paying down on my high interest loans. So that's how I did it. And obviously now I don't have to do that. Do not let these blankets statements deter you from looking at your financial situation and figuring out a plan for yourself.
