R murray schaffer was an acousticecologist. His work put the field of acoustic ecology on the map. Hildegarde westercamp worked with schaffer and knew him for decades. Chaffer and hildegarde say we really have to listen because of climate change, extinctions, environmental degradation. In these times, listening is a revolutionary act.
