Criminal Justice Data - Is There a Connection Between Law and Data Science?

There are rampant errors in terms of information relied upon to make important decisions in the criminal system. There's an enormous opportunity for racial bias to play a role in arrests we know that race plays a role, and that there are enormous race disparities and who gets arrested. And I guess because mass incarceration and racial justice is such a pressing problem in our country, that kind of collaboration has become much more common. All of our students are coming to us wanting to work on projects that could have the potential to improve our criminal system.
