Theory of multi-modal user interface theory makes sense from an evolutionary perspective. We filtered a small fraction of that that helps us survive and reproduce. It's just we're left with such asmall fraction of reality in our field of awareness. That really makes it suddenly pretty uncertain what's actually out there. And it may be that these other form of alien intelligence may have a much better explanation because they evolve in different conditions.
