We're a Tax Cutting Government, Mr Speaker.
The Prime Minister promised that we would be a tax cutting government. Today, we have cut stamp duty with allowed businesses to keep more of their own money to invest to innovate and to grow. We are securing our place in a fiercely competitive global economy with lower rates of cooperation tax and lower rates of personal tax. They did say that, Jim, but that didn't actually happen. Pretty much there was a wholesale rejection of the fiscal plan by markets and by currency traders as soon as it landed.
