The Importance of George Whitfield in American History

The fact that George Whitfield would have to be reintroduced is pretty stunning in and of itself. He was the best known person in Britain and America in the middle of the 18th century period. And for us to have forgotten him is not only a shame, but it's a real deficiency in American history too. So I thought there was an acute need there.
