The Crucifixion of the Church
We hold that as a key biblical motif, something which can be more theoretically stated as a satisfaction view or substitutionary understanding of the atonement. And those things are rightfully biblical and rightfully center stage. But sometimes we don't realize there are other aspects of theAtonement that are also talked about in scripture. They are worth holding on to and unpacking not as a competition in competition with those other views, but actually is complimenting and supplementing them.
