How Do You Keep Yourself Up-to-Date on Research?
There are lots of strategies that are only just coming into the forefront of reading education now, which aren't necessarily new. I would definitely agree that there are some practices that we might have felt would have been evidence informed in the past, but have since been just proven. We've got to accept that there's always going to be arguments against evidence-informed strategies. And as long as you are going through the research, being skeptical, I will call it professionally skeptical, where you're thinking actually, who's written the research? Who was the experimental study done with? Is there research to support it? As long as you can do that, I think that's fine.
