When I Write, I Cannot Afford to Be Interrupted

i think if you think about the benefit of large chunks of uninterrupted time to do creative work, the issue is that no matter what your role is as an individual contributor, whether it's pulling weeds or answering support emales. When i block time to write, i really shut down everything. The only way to interrupt me is to make a phone call,. I will not my texts, don't bit ding, none of that stuff. And when i write, i cannot afford to be interrupted and then i'll be just on the cusp of an idea, and  if my phone beeps, it's got and i've wasted that previous 30 minutes.
