The Negative Portrayal of the KMT in the Upcoming Presidential Election

The KMT is working very hard to frame the upcoming presidential election in terms of a vote for war by voting for the DPP. It's lack of interest in economic engagement with China, or that is how it's framed by the KMT rather. And so then this will become an issue, I think, and particularly I think another question is the choice of diplomatic allies for Taiwan. Does Taiwan align with the US and other Western powers, or let’s say Japan? Or does it try to return to economic engagement policies with China as occurred in the last KMT administration?
