The Case of Michael Hardwick in the Supreme Court

Michael Hardwick was one of the key figures in an infamous 1986 Supreme Court case dealing with gay rights and the right to privacy. It was arrested in 1982 for violating sodomy laws in Georgia. He filed suit challenging the validity of the law and his case wound up before the highest court in the country. On June 30th, 1986, the Supreme Court let loose its decision and said Georgia had every right to write a sodomy law that was against homosexual sodomy.
