The Loss of Independence in Medicine

In North PEDIX, it was about 25 to 30% were employed by hospital systems. Now it's tipped over the midline of 50%. So I think it's becoming increasingly common where someone is really in an employed situation. It doesn't mean you don't run the flavor of your practice. But it has clearly changed. Like any other occupation being in medicine is a business as much as a craft and art Where people have passion to practice.
