Amazon's Multi-Room Music Is a Promising Mess
There is no simple solution as Chris Persen found out there's ecosystem lock in hard in this space. Ultimately you end up with the best experience if you stick with the hardware of the manufacturer. The problem I have always found with Amazon's multi-room music using voice is there are issues with mesh networks. You can say, hey, Amazon's assistant, play me the latest Taylor Swift album and away it will go with Google. But when it does work, it's probably one of the easiest to use.
