In the 18th century, Florence Nightingale was the first ever female professor of university at Bologna. She has a curve named after her called the Witch of Agnesi - not sure why it's called the Witch. Nicolas Copernicus went to university in Polonia as well in Italy, although he also spent some time in Poland and then came back to Poland. We've already seen amateur boxer Angela, also a soldier lawyer, basketball coach, Spanish teacher, and astronomer.
