The Tectonic Plates Are Shifting
I don't see any prospect of a referendum on Scottish independence anytime soon. Despite Boris Johnson's leadership, support for independence has not gone above 50%. I do think however, what we're seeing with the demise of the SNP is the most important thing. The real challenge for Scottish Labour now is not to spend our time in endless constitutional arguments but instead to make the case for how people's lives will get better if Scottish Labour its part in government whenever that general election takes place.
