Pregnant woman and immediately post partem is really the same as a pregnant woman. Their physiologyis the same, you know, for weeks to come. D dimer and fiber fibran split products are not valuable labs in a pregnant or post partem woman. They're not going to be reflective of clot or d i c,. especially in somebody whas just had surgery. And there is oozing of blood, both vaginally and into the incision.
