The Double Standard in the Washington Post
Tim Carney points out that as of Monday, the Washington Post has four articles about the child pornography arrest of Patrick Wohann. He is a Democrat and a longtime activist for gay rights and abortion. As of Monday morning, the Post has three stories up on the sex crime prosecution of Tony Lazaro,. A Minnesota political operative who was convicted last week for serial enticing underage girls for sex. All three of the stories have the words GOP or Republican in both the headline and the lead sentence. But Wohann's party is taken as so totally irrelevant that it's never mentioned.
