Restructuring Cuban Politics

In 1982 Fidel Castro starts to criticize some of the expressions of what he sees as coming from this system. He complains about a distancing between the people of Cuba and members of the Communist Party or, you know, the leaders of workplaces. And my reading of it is that actually Fidel Castro was trying to win the consensus within the leadership and from the population that a complete U-tone was necessary. Finally, that happens in around 1986. It's known as the rectification of errors and negative tendencies.
