I haven't heard a single good argument for expanding nato. I think you can trace ah, in terms of native expansion, to poland, hungary and the check republic. That's the first round. If you don't count germany itself expanding a i think you cannd traced the very origins of those wheels being set in motion to the very end of the george h w Administration. But look, it didn't happen. The invitations weren't issued until 19 97. Bill clinton could have easily derailed it.
