Central Bank Digital Currency - What Kind of System Are We Building?
I don't see central bank digital currency as solving these threshold questions about cost unless the Fed is going to subsidize accounts. The American Bankers Association calls these accounts best practices. I think they ought to be mandated by law. All banks ought to offer them.
