The idea that new year's resolutions are completely doomed to fail doesn't seem to be supported by the literature, says Soka. A study in two thousand two found that six months into the year, a 69 % of the resolutiones that they kept in contact with reported that they were still successful with their resolution at the time of contact. The way you view your success matters and is important in the context of behavior change and goal attainment said Soka.
