Sara is building the only commercial sized indoor eel farm in north america. She bought 650 pounds of baby eels from local fishermen that means a million and a half tiny little glass eels. "Just like full of these tiny little, like two inch long, little wriggly things," she says.
Where eels come from is a surprisingly difficult question to answer, in large part because scientists have never actually seen them reproduce in the wild. Gastropod explains why eels are somehow still so mysterious.
