For those of us born in the late twentieth or now the 20 first century, the deck is already stacked against us. The country started with genecite and slavery and raceismi been here forever. It gets handed down generation after generation, and it gets inflamed. Resentment and ignorance and hatred, all of it is already there when we're born. We have this enormous degree of difficulty to go from slavery so entrenched as an institution,. white supremacy, so entrenched in the minds of slaveholders and their supporters.
