The Ideological X Axis of the Court

If the only way you're reading about or thinking about this court is on that ideological x axis. This makes no sense to you. In fact, if that were the only access, what you would have expected from last term is a whole lot of six three cases decided with the six conservative justices on one side and the three liberal justices on the other side. So just breaking down that ideological six three, you are explaining 20% or fewer of the cases from last term, 80% will need some other explanation. And that's where I think you get at least this one other access - institutionalist access.
