How Did You Turn This School Around?

When you came to the school, there were 65% attendance from your Aboriginal cohort. We're sitting at 88% this year and that has been ravaged by COVID. There still is a lag between non-Aboriginal and Aboriginal attendance, but we are continuing to improve over the years. What was the vibe at the school? Were teachers happy to be here? Were they kind of struggling a bit? What was it like? It was a mixture.We had teachers who had big hearts and were keeping the children entertained, calm and happy, but no real learning taking place.
