Some very poor countries have much higher life expectances than you would expect them to have if it was all about income. All the evidence suggests that if you support welfare spending ... you get much better outcomes in terms of health,. In terms of life expectancy and indeed in terms of happiness. And so to go from there to my sustainability point, you know, if Ferraris float your boat, then why not have access to all the Ferraris in the world? But it's a nuts, it's absolutely nuts as a general prospect... 10 billion people who are going to be on the planet
