Rey: The church was in a very different financial situation than the one we're used to being in. In 18 93, people couldn't and didn't pay tithing because of an anti polygamy crusade. Then president snow felt inspired to start teaching the importance of paying tithings. And that did that represent kind of a turning point and made a big difference ye church's financial picture.
