The Evolution of Autism
In the 90s, we started doing work on attention in autism. In fact, the autistic people have kind of superior attention to detail. So it's not a disability, it's actually strength and sometimes even a talent. And if you give them the classic tests of attention, autistic people score above average on attention to detail or memory for detail. It also argues that autistic people have excellent pattern recognition skills.
