Don't lose your spot. Anytime you're doing new and novel work it's going to be scary. If you truly want to do, which is why most people like the idea of being creative or disruptive more than they actually want to be creative or disruptive. Just realize that's going to feel scary. Be really, really careful about the confirmation bias problem inherent in that process.
