The average bank sells at probably less than half of the S&P 500 multiple. We would argue the industry itself is in much better shape than it was at the time of the GFC, especially regarding credit risk. A well-run bank ought to be worth book value and we want management that are comfortable giving capital back to the owners when they don't have good growth opportunities.
