T1: I don't have the ability to do what's needed to attain salvation unless God has given me the grace. T2: By doing the meritorious act is God's gift, so how could I be blamed for not performing it? So you take you take away freedom out of the picture and it looks like you're going to take away the sense that we've merited some sort of reward or some sort of blame for what we've done or what we failed to do. Right. That's the idea.
