In 19 85, detective lum announced that his investigation produced no evidence that a police officer had murdered lisa. He claimed that he needed money for damages and psychiatric care. However, this suit was eventually dismissed. In 19 86, a judge ruled that the city was not liable for lise's death,. The state supreme court upheld the decision. Patrice ow passed away on christmas day, december 20 fifth, 19 92. And chesterow passed away on november twentieth, 19 98, and was buried next to lisa. Both parents never got to see their daughter's killer be brought to justice.
