The Pros and Cons of Slower Time Controls
Most club players want to play slower games. Even if you do a quote unquote regular rated or classical control, even if it's something like a game 45 or a game 50, that's still too fast for a lot of players. A big question I have is for the club players, how interested are they in watching the top players play speech chess versus classical? Right now the numbers show that for like the World Championship, or even the candidates, the numbers for the last two showed that they're more interested in watching classical chess.
