The History of Punjabi Agitation
The Sikh population in Punjab, which is almost 90% of the farming community. They have seen nonviolent agitations starting in 1900 from with a Gurdwarar form movement when they forced the British to enact the Sgpc Act in 1925. The BJP government had to eat the humble pie and withdraw the three farm acts. This may have also given a message that yes, it, agitations deliver their demands. But apart from taking a purely law and order view on this issue, there is a need to address the fundamental issues, which are leading to these kind of agitations.
