My dad helped me so much with my soccer career because football is like a religion in Scotland. When I started playing guitar, he was the one who said, gave me the most encouragement. Other people were saying, what are you doing? Like my teachers at school would say, well, that's a waste of time. Only one teacher ever said to me, you're doing the right thing, carry on. You know, I'm a sucker for a great sounding instrument, anything stringed. And I got it when I was 18, I still have it to this day."
