St. Helena found the true cross in the Holy Land and brought it back to Rome, where she made a chapel out of dirt from the land. The floor of her chapel is covered with relics including part of Christ's crown of thorns. "It's a beautiful act of faith that she wants that we need these tangible signs," says Dr. C. Horn. 'This is how we can make what we call as Christians, redemptive suffering,' he adds.
