The Evolution of Emotions

An emotion like anger is not a thing, it's a group of variable instances. This idea is very consistent with Darwin's conceptual innovation on the origin of species. Individuals vary in a species, for example. There's no perfect car, or spaniel - there's just a lot of variability that's situated in the context. And then the third piece is, I think the most, to me the most, remarkable aspect. Your brain doesn't really react to the world but predicts what will happen next.
