There were 16 thousand head injuries recorded on their data base in england and wales between 20 14 and 20 15. The majority of these head injuries are occurring from a fall from less than two metres. Any one with a g c s of 13 or lower is at risk of a moderate or severe traumatic brain injury. We've got to have a really high index of suspicion with these patients, because i'm sure we've all been caught out before by those patients that we think it's due to something else. And actually it turns out to be that head injury.
