How to Build Trust in Tornodes?

There's no strong correlation between a torserver and who runs it. And turns out a bunch of nodes just have no email address. The whole point of toris supposed to be anonymous and run by a whle munch of different people. But if you just have nine thousand tornodes, how do you know that some large amount of them aren't controlled by one entity? What goes into hosting a tornode then? Are we talking like a seriously bafy box, or no, like, you can do it on a relatively small thing, or you can limit it to a relatively small amount of c p or memory or whatever on your machine.
