The Importance of Humility in Traditions
The encoding of knowledge and wisdom in traditions is always essential because even when you move through these patterns if you can hold closer to those things that your society has kind of found valuable encoded in something deep and meaningful then you're much more likely to reap the benefits. Both Chesterton and Lewis captured this really well they said democracy is or tradition is the democracy of the dead so there's a humility that builds up in these traditions as they have been through cycles.
