How Long Did It Take You 18 Months?

After that horizontal versus vertical debate, when we committed to pressing deeper into the vertical, we did a refactor. It was a big pivot because we had built a pretty flexible product but it definitely could not accommodate the functionality that we were about to demand of it. We also chose to re-architect some of the core backbone parts of our tech stack to support the new platform that we were building. A bunch of refactoring behind the scenes, moving code around, reorganizing new API, new front-end tech stack.
