The Impact of Race Conscious Admissions Policies in Higher Education
The Harvard and University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill affirmative action cases were among the most closely watched nationwide. This is the fourth major time the court going back until 1978 has revisited this issue of race conscious admissions policies in higher education. Ever since Baki, note school has had a strict quota that would not be legal for students of color or any particular group. The majority opinion written by the Chief Justice, this is one of the examples that Erwin talked about earlier of the Robert Court.
