What's Real and Who Matters?

Neil Levy is professor of philosophy at Macquarie University in Sydney and a senior research fellow at the UA Hero Center for Practical Ethics. He's trying to develop and popularize a really simple pluralistic philosophical stance or worldview if you like called Sentientism which suggests that when it comes to thinking about what's real we should take a broadly naturalistic approach using evidence and reason with some humility. "I'm not now a free will specialist right now I'm doing mainly epistemology a couple of lifetimes ago," he says.
