What Happened in the US?

Domestic violence was spiking because of the pandemic china, australia, countries across europe and latin america. The US spent big money to try to forestall the domestic violence crisis. What would have happened without that increased spending or increased attention? We don't know. There could be some cases where the shutdowns directly reduced incidents, but we don't have that experiment right?
