The Fed's Operating Loss - Borrow Short, Lender Long
The Fed is down like a trillion two on its bond portfolio. It's running these massive operating losses. And so I think we're starting to see the symptoms of this borrow short, lend long where you, you know, the first thing is gate, extended pretend and hope the Fed comes in with more liquidity. But unless it's sort of explicit and big, I think it just bought time.
