There's such a thing as residual training effects, so please everybody Google that like right now. So many athletes are like, oh, it's my competition season. I don't want to be sore. I need to focus on racing. But even just one workout with a little bit of strength component to it is enough to re-stimulate those residual training effects and get them to carry on for another 21 to 30 days give or take.
